One Thousand and One Nights
Iraq has been through a lot in recent decades, resulting in various stereotypes and prejudices about the country and its people. In media Iraq is often portraied as a war-torn, violent nation where danger lurks around every corner. However, this portrayal couldn’t be further from the truth. Despite the challenges they face, the Iraqi people are some of the warmest and most welcoming people you’ll ever meet. During my visit, I was able to travel from the northern city of Mosul all the way to the southern city of Basra.
Everywhere I went, I was welcomed with open arms, slept on countless sofas, and enjoyed many delicious meals. Iraq is a country with a rich history and culture. From the ancient city of Babylon to the modern city of Baghdad, Iraq has a lot to offer.

Iraq's ancient sites are a testament to its rich cultural heritage and serve as a reminder of the importance of preserving our shared human history.




Life on the banks of the Euphrates and Tigris River. The Iraqi Marshes have been home to various groups of people for thousands of years, including the Marsh Arabs who have developed a unique relationship with the natural environment around them, relying on fishing, hunting, and farming to sustain their livelihoods.
